Being a professional musician in a symphony orchestra, I sometimes experience physical discomfort (like many of my colleagues), due to long hours in a sitting position, as well as “unnatural” body posture while playing the violin.
A colleague of mine told me that he found many benefits in both his body and mind after learning Tai Chi. He suggested that I should try it as well.
I was lucky enough to get this opportunity to learn Tai Chi in Kuala Lumpur, as well as to find such an amazing teacher – Master David Bao. Master Bao knows exactly how to approach newcomers because he is very patient, possesses a well of knowledge, and a great personality.
Although I am still at the beginner level, I already feel significant difference in my body. I feel more balanced, my back is now much stronger (no back pain anymore). I took up on challenge to memorize and connect each of the Tai Chi movements in the routine, as well as finding the Tai Chi ‘feeling’ while practicing the routine.
I am very curious to learn more and to bring my body and mind to a higher level.
I recommend learning Tai Chi to everyone who wants to improve their general physical and mental health, as well as to learn how to connect and know their body better.
