Chen style Tai Chi Lao Jia Er lu (Old Frame Second Routine) is often called Cannon Fist (Pao Chui). Lao Jia Er Lu is a more complicated form with more firmness and less softness than Lao Jia Yi Lu.
This form is punctuated with ‘fa qing’ which is the explosive release of energy characteristic of Chen style Tai Chi. With an emphasis on speed and power, Cannon Fist trains a Tai Chi practitioner to deliver great force in a relaxed manner.
